Rainbow Cupcake Tutorial

So here is my first shot at a tutorial :)  These rainbow cupcakes are so fun and so easy peasy to make for St. Patty's Day...the kids will absolutly love them!!

First you start with your favorite brand of boxed cupcake yellow or white mix (no home made on this round...just good old Betty Crocker)  Mix batter following directions on back of the box.

Grab 6 bowls and divide cupcake batter evenly into each bowl

You will take your rainbow food coloring (red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple) and color each bowl to the proper color.

Once all the colors are mixed, you then take a small spoon and carefully add your color to the cupcake liner...keeping in mind that you have to get 6 spoonfuls of colorful batter in a liner so remember not to put too much of one color in....

When all the colors have been added it should look like this
Put the cupcakes in the oven for about 16-18 minutes at 350 degrees and watch the rainbow cups rise :)

Look how fun these are...

Go ahead and top with your favorite icing...mine is with my personal fav...
vanilla buttercream icing and wait for those little ones to steal them quickly to devour them!!

These would be perfect for the little ones and big ones for St. Patty's Day!!
Have fun!!

I am linking this tutorial up at the following parties :)
