Why I enjoy what I do....

As I have made this transition into creating special treats for people....nothing excites me more than making the delivery :)  It is so wonderful when I can see their faces as they look at the treats and smile!  It warms my heart. Well I was specifically touched when I was contacted by the sweet Kerri Meyers.   She had received my cookies during a business meeting and contacted me right away to see if I could make a special treat for one of her friends that was just diagnosed with cancer....Renee.    She was organizing an event to raise money for her friend....RALLY FOR RENEE   Kerri is organizing a trivia night....but she wanted to surprise her friend with cookies with the logo that she had created for the event.....

When I dropped off the cookies to Kerri, her response to the cookies made me so happy....as she was so happy to receive them and was even more excited to give her friend this little "Happy" treat and warm her spirirts....here is the response I received from Kerri that evening....

OMG!!!  She FREAKED out!!!  They were a HUGE hit!!!  I'm not sure if she liked the look of the cookie or the taste better!  She was a little woozy from just getting Chemo but her face lit up like Christmas when she saw them.  You are a true artist!   ~ Kerri Meyers

At that point I knew that I was doing exactly what I was supposed to be doing....brightening people's day no matter if they were battling cancer and I could brighten their spirit just for a moment, or providing a little child's special cookies for their last day of school....

I am helping to make events that people are going through in their lives either a little easier or helping them celebrate!!!  The power of a cookie is pretty amazing!!!  Life is short...and over the past few months I have learned more than ever......you need to do what you enjoy doing most.....
